How does a Robot Lawn Mower work?

Robot lawn mowers work according to programmed work intervals and alternates cutting cycles with recharging. For even grass cutting, it proceeds and rebounds in the area mapped using a mapping cart. You are able to schedule cutting times and cutting patterns based on mapped areas and your preferences. These are customisable using the Kress RTK App.

Will a robot lawn mower do a good job? Right to the edges?

Robot lawn mowers generally do a fantastic job on the vast majority of your grass. Please remember this is a lawn mower not an edger so you will still have to do the edges.

Can I leave the mower unattended while mowing?

One of the great features of robotic lawn mowers is that once they have been set up, they can be left to function with no supervision whatsoever. You will be able to schedule your mower to cut the grass at whatever time and day is most suitable to you and rely on it to get on with the job with no intervention.

Robot lawn mowers are extremely quiet so there really is no issue with scheduling the robot lawn mower to work at night or at times when you’re enjoying other areas of the garden.

Does the Robot Mower require maintenance?

Yes. You must check your Robot regularly and clean it when necessary. As with all equipment, you must maintain to achieve the best results. You can find out how to do this in the User Manual in the chapter entitled “Maintenance Recommendations”. Please note that your Robot should not be immersed in water. You can hose off to remove debris. During wintertime, take your robot to your local Kress dealer for an annual inspection.

Can I buy a Robot together with my neighbour?

Yes. But only if the gardens are adjacent to each other and not separated by any stairs. Ask us to evaluate and advise your specific situation.

Can I stop the Robot immediately if necessary?

Yes. Each robot is equipped with a red “STOP” Emergency Stop button in a visible and easy to use position. The robot and the blade also always stop when picked up.
